We're a month away from all sorts of amazing fanworks! So here's another chance to give someone a boost, cheer each other on, and inspire everyone to create all sorts of nifty Losers fanworks.

So I may have started a new job and have two new fandoms and a revitalization of two original projects explode my head and had to start from scratch with this story BUT I HAVE NOT GIVEN UP YET. So.

i have finished cyberpunk and stargate! would anyone like to do a beta listen to make sure i don't have any odd transitions, there's a narrative, etc? they'd go out thursday as tomorrow i have a full day of swimming, barbecue, and drinking.

inception- i keep second guessing all my song choices. there's like four songs that end up on every version and the rest is a crapshoot.

RED- why are there so many father/daughter and father/son songs but no mother/son songs?!? if you know of any please tell me.

zombies- any time a freaking plot would like to show up that'd be great. seriously, zombies, if i find another bunny you are out the door.

Mother/son songs . . . dang, that's a tough one. Any particular emotional dynamic you're looking for?

i literally have one mother/son song and it's by hole. so something that doesn't sound exactly like hole would be nice, but at this point i'm looking for anything.

um ... vikki and jensen like each other so emotionally i'm looking for something not negative about the other person. the song could be from either direction. (son about mom or mom about son.)

I tried googling because I was stumped too, and apparently the mommy community is really into Savage Garden's "I Knew I Loved You" as a song about one's unborn child. Which, um... Other than that there's apparently some really touching stuff by Barbra Streisand and Celine Dion! \o/

I guess what I'm trying to say is, you're screwed good luck. Maybe if you cast your net wider and include songs about parental love or watching someone grow up in general?

As for the other way round, there are several songs by male artists about their mothers. Kanye West and Jay-Z come to mind, but there are definitely more.

(I'm assuming Jensen doesn't die in this one, otherwise "Grendel's Mother" by the Mountain Goats would have been kind of apropos. <.<)

nope. figured out vikki's the one in danger. everyone gets out and they whomp the bad guys good.

on the song front i remembered "simple man" by lynyrd skynyrd. i'm hoping i can find a good cover. this is reminding me of the time i made a buffy-verse angel/dru/spike mix that was held together by a cover of "sweet child o' mine." (it was an awesome cover featuring an acoustic guitar, a piano, and a female vocalist. totally changed the song.)

First of all, thank you so much to everyone who's been leaving cheer comments! <3333 You guys! Unfortunately, RL and artist's blah happened and I don't think I can get a whole bang done, let alone in time. Really sorry! /o\

I didn't want to drop out without a fight though, so I started fiddling around with something and it might actually get finished: [in progress] [still in progress]

(Um, if any of you have a vaguely erotic stock image lying around that I could crop and use for a Clay/Roque between-the-sheets flashback square, um, LET ME KNOW. You have no idea the amount of time I spent on vaguely skeevy m/m and porn Tumblrs yesterday.)

Anyway, sorry for letting you guys down /o\, but now that some of the pressure is off, I can cheer on other teams, yay! :-D? :-D?

Sad to hear that you might have to drop out (though honestly I've overextended myself so much this summer that one fewer complement to complete is not a tragedy). I love the look of what you've done so far.

Thank you so much for the suggestion and the encouragement! Sexisnottheenemy was like, the first place I looked; I must have gone 25 pages back before I gave up. This is definitely nice, but a little too... unsubtle for what I had in mind. :-D I've gone with another idea now and will post the result in a moment, and then it's kink_bingo time until another AU idea hits me. I still kind of wanna do Clay/Roque wingfic, somehow.

I've been working on other stuff (including this ramp-up vid and now actual kink_bingo fills, as well as another Losers/Death Proof crossover fic, which . . . if it hits 10K words first I'm totally using it instead. It's Lee/Jensen and stuff.).
