Due to time constraints, a monstrously bad head space, and some real life disasters, I'm not going to be able to complete my big bang for this team.

lunesque is writing a super amazing and awesome Cougar/Roque story that will meet the minimum 10,000 words for the bang, though, and my hope is that someone is willing to create a complement for her bang.

Man, I have no idea at this point. I think I can make the minimum size requirement if I can get my brain to hold still long enough and stop worrying about final quality and handwave over some major plotholes, but my brain has not been in a holding-still mood. I'll try to bash out as much as I can?

I'm still kinda stuck on the heist bits, insofar as what the hell they're stealing and how and why. I think the thing they're trying to prevent Max from getting or selling on is a customizable virus, like, a biological weapon that can be tailored to attack specific genetic traits (basically genocide in a bottle, and it doesn't even work as well as the people who'd use it would want to believe because the technology's not that good and population genetics just doesn't work like that), but I'm not sure how to break that into steps (for people who haven't read my complicated plot outline, I'm looking at a three-stage heist story where each job leads to the next, bigger one; the first one especially has to require a bigger team than the Losers by themselves, the second has to have a first, failed attempt and a successful second chance, and the third has to require the official Losers creating a distraction while *mumblemumble* save the day). Halp?

3/5 mixes finished (sgc, jolene*, and cyberpunk). 2/5 still in progress (RED, inception). 1/5 cover art done (sgc). the visit to family i did a few weeks ago and the several days i spent in the woods earlier this week were most helpful.

*jolene is a loser instead of linwood. linwood is subbing as driver for her while the pooch is with child. (the pooch is totes a nickname jensen came up with, don't even front.) if anyone has pictures of Tanee McCall being badass i would really really appreciate them.

I honestly don't know if I'll be able to do this bang work in time. If my family has another freakout, I may not even surface until posting on the 31st. I feel so terrible, but if I want to have any chance of finishing all the other things I've started, I think I may need to drop out on this one. /o\ Still, I might be able to do it yet, time will tell.

Haven't done anything at all since last week. I know I can finish it, I'm just stuck wallowing in the over-halfway-but-so-much-left-to-do pit of despair (also fighting the 'oh god, this is all terrible, what am I doing to these poor characters?' feeling). I even cleaned my garage in order to avoid writing and still feel like I was doing something productive.

So if anyone wants to give me a metaphorical kick in the pants, or shower me with photos of Oscar Jaenada being hot, that would be much appreciated. (Though as hot as Jaenada is, the kick in the pants would probably be more motivating.)

Hai!

I have been woeful about keeping in contact with Ladykrysis (sorry!) but I'm still on track for final-draft status on 1 Aug. The first 2/3rds of the fic is off in beta, and I had one of those little writing epiphanies about the last 1/3 -- suddenly I have a *point* to this fic, nearly, maybe -- which I can throw myself into over the weekend, and which means I only need to add things, not rewrite everything (it's happened, oh boy), ands hopefully get that betaed too. I am fully planning on having this fic Done and Dusted come Aug 1.

(Just confirming on close reading: we need to have a final draft of the BB work posted to AO3 by Aug 1, and the actual final work isn't due til go-live on Aug 31? Is that what I'm reading? :D)
