Yeah.
I hear you on suffering with excessive heat. I completely sympathize. Currently sunburnt about the neck and shoulders, and not enjoying it.
However *cough* 79 degrees F? *cough* positively a balmy day in the desert. That's how cool it is inside the house with the A/C running full bore, when it's running over 100 degrees F round here, which it does on a disgustingly regular basis.
Sad. I belong up there with you in Viking turf, I really do.
I completely understand the sensation of not being able to find a space capsule cold enough for survival of brain, because brain gets VERY unhappy with me about this temperature thing.
And yet, I know there's folks out there who survive Arizona monsoons who would laugh at me scornfully for being such a wimp that I can't handle 110 degrees F with 90 per cent humidity.

Oh yeah, I'm fully aware of how whimpy 79F is XD I've lived through 100F/38C and 80-90% humidity, and I didn't even have A/C. South Japan, what are you even.

Buuut when you get winters with temperatures down to 10F/-12C, the sheer RANGE in temperature in a single year gets kind of painful, so the peak hots and colds are unpleasant.

On the bright side, though, when we're done with renovations downstairs, I can retreat to the cool oasis there. Downstairs has much fewer windows, so there's a distinct difference in temperature (it's at least below 70F/21C, probably closer to 65F/18C). Much better for a colder state of mind.

I really can't wait to be done. It's starting to look pretty damn good, and we're getting close. But that also means there's basically only fiddly stuff left...
