Hey Losers! It's time for our first check-in! No worries if you're still thinking and feel free to squeak in and sign up if you missed it, we're just going to get started on the weekly accountability so people have a place to talk about their projects that isn't the sign-up post.

Please respond to the top-level comments, even if you don't have any progress yet, just so we know you're here. Jump in with cheerleading anywhere you like, even if you're not technically on the team! And if you decide you *do* want to be on the team, go ahead an put up a comment at the sign-up post.

Whee! mific's art and idea look SO GOOD. And the bunnies are starting to maybe, maybe nibble.

They look fabulous, and I love the outline of interpretations getting built in. I haven't quite got a good story "excuse" yet --the plot framework for why, let's say, a laughing crone pushes aside her crystal ball as she spreads out the cards to read for the whole group of Losers, not just for one guy. I'm thinking more in terms of small bits for each card that really shows up. I can never manage drabbles precisely, but small impressions work okay, so I'm thinking of doing a chunk of fic that speaks a card in its place in the spread and in some way about the character who embodies it. It's obvious so I probably won't do this one, but let's say, the card in the future or outcome position, with Pooch showing in some way, might address his hopes and dreams for his family's future, and what that might look like.

I'm here too! I think we're off to a good start - I'm beavering away at the cards and we have a system where everyone can see what's being produced so as to think about complements. I hadn't realized how addictive cards like this are as art projects - nice sized tasks with little hits of achievement at regular intervals. I'll see if I can manage the whole deck, but of course there are a zillion other commitments, so not sure if I'll get through them all.

RE: adding another female to the deck, there's various positions that could use Jensen's niece, maybe in her soccer outfit?? Hmm, and there's also the poor girl with the umbrella who gets shot by Max--now there's a candidate for that sword card with every last sword is sticking in the person's back!
