There was a great deal of unrelated pulling and hauling and cleaning over the weekend, alongside regular chores, but no direct dollwerks as yet. I started lists on separate cards for what each character needs by way of gear and artwerks to be done, part of the comparison between what I have, what I need to do or get, and what I can afford to do. Knowing I need to get that green pants thing going, I've been looking diligently for all the sizes. Y'all may be interested to know that the last few years had an over-the-top fiercely ridiculous fad for camoflage and khaki and army green clothes, but there's little sign of it washing through the secondhand market now. That has sharply passed in the doll world, they're on to other things I don't entirely understand yet, such as pumpkin pants and long-tailed frilly shirts. A great deal of this is heavily influenced by the fashion walking around the Harajuku district in Tokyo. It's not even considered camp, either. I found out where we've got the Dremel, and went through some of my art supplies, and should be getting the wig glues I wanted in a few days. Curly locks for Clay's wig and furs for Jensen should be showing up any day now. Blew a horrendous amount of homework time looking up doll bodies and figured out I was right in the first place. Knowing exactly what I like for Roque's bod (wonder why, gee, I kept saying we need to take another look at Idris Alba??) but I can't currently afford... These are not my pix, they're shots from the flickr account of the Granado doll company. These are okay, but some of their other shots in that Flickr account are definitely NSFW, just an FYI there. Well, here's one idea that'd be perfect for Pooch. https://www.flickr.com/photos/doll-granado/8530637786/
I may end up doubling up by swapping heads around for different shots.
Also ended up wandering around looking at Losers song vids, reminding myself what the guys are wearing in different scenes so I can try to approach it. Oh yes, and I played with bokeh test runs to get lil hearts around the lights. Finding a way to get bokeh fx at all is difficult around here--I may need to pull out little xmas lights, though I just saw someone do it with a coarse plaid fabric by shifting the focus. I was just trying it out tiny on my cell phone camera, which may be doing it the hard way. For a few minutes thought I had it working, but ehhh, not sure about that. I wasn't shifting the focus on my cell camera the way I can on the big camera.

This is more like the effect I'm looking to get with Jensen.
