This is the place for teams of folks to meet up and get together to create lots of awesome Losers fanworks!

A few rules before we get started:

1. Please take a look at the rules, particularly the size requirements for bang-sized fanworks. If you have any questions, please comment over there or Contact A Mod.

2. Please use the subject lines. Put as much or as little information you have about your team, complement offering, or bang-sized work. Examples:
--Comics Bang: Artist looking for an author, dark and gory. Would like fanmix or graphics complements.
--Knitting Complements: 1-2 items for up to two bang-sized fanworks
--Fic Bang: Crack AU where the Losers are all snowmen, looking for wacky complements
--Podfic Complement: Willing to do a podfic complement for a bang; either a section of a fic bang or a related story to some other type of fanwork.
--Fanmix Bang: set of six albums for all the main characters based on individual arcs, want an art complement (covers).
--Haiku Complements: Offering sets of haiku complements to up to four art bangs.
--Art Bang: several panels featuring Jensen base jumping and Cougar watching through his scope. Any complement(s) or additional bang(s) would be great.
--Meta Bang: want to write a bang-sized meta but need help brainstorming in the comments
--Team Rock and Roll: 2 bangs and 3 complements on a rock band AU; willing to take on more fanworks of either size.
--Unknown: Want to create an unusual bang in tandem with one or more complement creators. (Include more details about what you might want to do in the comment itself).
--Unknown: Looking for a team to do pirates vs. ninjas in many formats.
--Plot bunny up for grabs: Losers as a professional baseball team (feel free to drop prompts or plot bunnies for others to pick up, but please make it obvious in the subject line you do not intend to do the fanwork yourself)

3. Items to address in your top-level comment:

4. Cheerleading is a great thing - just a 'yay' or 'awesome idea' is a great boost to getting a big fanwork like this done. Feel free to cheer on individuals or teams or throw out ideas for other folks to take hold of.

5. This post is not any sort of official commitment to create a complement or big-bang-sized fanwork. It's an opportunity to generate ideas with fellow fans, collaborate, and have fun. Official sign ups will be May 8-15.

Fic Bang: Losers as classical musicians - would love a team of folks doing anything related to this!

Me first, me first!

I am writing a classical musician universe for my SGA big bang, and to get me in gear for writing that one, I've decided to do my Losers fic bang in that universe! I think it's likely to be a Cougar/Jensen romance plot, basically, and everyone will be there in some fashion or other. The Losers is a local percussion ensemble (I'm not sure where, but since Impromptu is marginally set in Boston, I'm considering there). Currently my lineup looks like this:

Clay: Percussion professor (I'm not sure where, but I'm leaning toward Boston Conservatory, just to have maximum crossover potential)
Roque: marimba soloist; tours a lot to perform internationally
Pooch: high school teacher; he is the most versatile of them
Jensen: drummer for a locally popular rock band
Cougar: timpanist for the local symphony
Aisha: percussion coach for a drum corps

That's about all I have right now; I've got a loose plot worked out, but 10k isn't really that many words (compared to the 75k I already have on the SGA one, and that's only half done).

I love all fanworks! I'd be happy to have other bang-sized pieces on my team and/or as many complements as people might be interested in! :D :D :D

ETA: Love teams of all sort - I love collaboration, teamwork, working in tandem, etc. but I don't mind taking a hands-off approach either (as I'm busy, busy, busy). I will do whatever the team decides.

I have this half-finished already - I'm going to finish it in time to post for the bang!

I would love to have a podfic team, where all the works are podfic (I think that's a good theme, anyway), but hey, I love *all* fanworks! I would love anything anyone wanted to make (including cover art for an audiobook, if anyone is so moved).

Fic Bang: Clay/Roque movie prequel - would love any kind of team

I have been working on this fic idea for what feels like ages. I have some of it written, but I feel like the Ante Up: Losers Big Bang can be the incentive that I need to really get this story finished (finally).

The story centers around Clay/Roque, and while it has some kink elements, it's essentially a prequel to the film and will lead up to Roque leaving the team. It's Clay POV, and the whole team is going to feature, of course, because TEAM!

I adore all fanworks and would love to see some other bang-sized fanworks for this team or any kind of complements.

I could use some cheerleading, but like kate, I'm open to any collaboration, teamwork, working in tandem or hands-off approach for folks who are busier.

I will totes cheer lead, and the idea I've got would be a bang-sized fic, post-movie, about Roque recovering from the explosion. May or may not have Roque/Clay romance, and will definitely feature the rest of the team, because I don't think I've ever written anything that doesn't have them all involved.

FIC Bang: Losers/Terminator AU

I started this a while ago and completely stalled out. I plan on adding at least 10,000 words to what I already have and would love some art or anything really to go along with it.

The plot is thus: Jacob Jensen figured out who was really behind Skynet. Now he needs to go to the past to convince his old team and his past self to help him stop Max and prevent Judgement Day from ever happening.

It's Jacob(future Jensen)/OFC, pre-Cougar/Jensen(present), other canon-ish pairings, but any romance is incidental, mostly time-travelling mind-fuckery and angst with lots of action.

Cheerleading would be lovely and if you have any ideas for collaborations or other things, let me know, I'm open-minded.

Look, I don't care how out of date the Stirling Hypothesis is: I have this rabid post-movie plotbunny involving crazy cults, psychic premonitions, people getting freaky with were-jaguars, lost archaeological expeditions, and a mad scramble for some ancient crystal skull-style power source in the Guatemalan jungle. Cougar/Jensen and possibly Cougar/Jensen/Aisha. I'm kind of embarrassed at how many OTT idfic-y tropes my plot outline has grown. I need someone to hold my hand and enable me bounce ideas off of so I actually finish this thing and can face posting it in public. I'd love a more collaborative team, if only in the sitting on AIM/Y!M/IRC bitching about stuff way.

I'm open to whatever sort of other works, though whether I'd be helpful as a beta/cheerleader/collaborator may depend on what they are. I've never really listened to podfic, and I have to admit I haven't seen a lot of fanmixes I liked... but then again, maybe they just didn't have enough Journey. ;)

I'm primarily a vidder. My only work in this fandom so far is here. I think it gives a pretty clear picture of my views on the sanctity of canon and my feelings about the end of the comic. If this vid makes you go "... I don't get it?", we would probably not make a good team. Ha ha ha.

Fic Bang: Losers/Death Proof crossovah would love any kind of team/collaboration

I want to use this opportunity to write the as-it-were 'expanded remix' of the Losers/Death Proof bit I posted in this year's Scramble. It will be easily bang-length with an action plot and a lot of character interaction storylines; a post-movie Roque's-not-dead AU (still significant professional and romantic tension between him and Clay but the canon betrayal was a decoy) featuring the whole Losers team including Aisha plus Jolene & Jensen's sister & their young'uns, and the whole gang from Tennessee (Abernathy, Kim, Lee, and Zoë) plus Abby's kid. Premise is that Aisha will reach out to her old friends, who happen to be nearby working on a movie, to help with a multi-part heist/offensive on Max's resource stream. There will be snuggling, disguises, misunderstandings, and lots of explosions, and it'll probably wind up with a "teen" rating on AO3 for action-movie violence and fade-to-black sexytimes.

I am squeeful at the prospect of any kind of complements and any kind of teamwork/collaboration, especially for someone to work in tandem or cheerlead and help me brainstorm and hash out everything I haven't figured out yet (like geography).

I wish I could vid - this seems ripe for a complement vid. I'd be learning, though, and I would want someone to do it real justice.

When I read the end of the comic, I kind of had a meltdown all weekend that resulted in a vid to multiple Journey songs. (What? If one Journey song is awesome. Two Journey songs in the same vid is awesomer!) My approach to vidding involves a lot of allcaps tagging, keyboard mashing, playing with funny fonts, and having hysterics in #vidding on IRC. I am pretty free with the external source and taking things out of context... But I'm all out of ideas for more Losers vids. I'd love to do one or more complements if you provide me with the vidbunny. (After that, collaborative or hands off is A-OK, but I do want some inspiration initially.) Any character or pairing is fine, but I prefer funny or happy things to depressing ones. I'm happy to do any kind of constructed reality or crack concept you want if you're ok with external source (i.e. footage of the actors in other roles) or want me to make a vid out of your fan art or something.

This is happening at a really awkward time for me. I'm moving to another country the day after next and it'll probably leave me short of time/energy, but I will do my best to art-complement people as best I can. physicsandballistics seems to have roped me into doing an interpretive dance as a complement, but we'll have to see about that. The longer I think about it, the worse the idea it seems to be XD I'm already working on an art complement for physicsandballistics and will pick out a few others I think I'll be able to get done!

I've got several bang pieces (art) plotted out in my head, but I might have to be careful that I don't take on too much and leave people hanging, so I think I might just start with one. It's not really got much plot-wise, it's very ambiguous and people can take it as they like or they can work on how I've interpreted my own work, it's up to them. My idea: I'm going to be drawing Cougar in several panels, swimming in a lake/lagoon/whatever and I want to imply that he goes there when the team has some down time. It's going to be colourful and messy and hopefully give people some inspiration.

I welcome all types of team involvement. If you just want to handhold or cheerlead or interpretive-dance my worries away, that's awesome! If you want to do fic, vid, graphics, knit a sweater, whatever, I'd be delighted!

Fanmix Bang: 5 AUs. seeking collaborators.

in a fit of insanity i will be signing up to do a fanmix for this bang. (80 songs!) the theme is five (maybe more) AU's. i'm also planning on writing snippets for the various bits. i think these will be gen with hints of pairings around the edges, but i don't know what they'll be.

right now i'm thinking: zombies, SG team, jensen used to be an inception-verse architect, RED crossover, and killjoys-verse zonerunners. other possibilities are watchmen-verse superhero team after the events of the watchmen comic/movie, SHIELD team, cyberpunk, and some sort of space thing. my brain is a strange and wonderful place.

i will be happy with any type of complement. i'm just thrilled to be able to do the primary fanwork. i'd super love some sort of graphic or art as my coverart abilities are extremely basic.

Assuming I can wrangle my recalcitrant brain around to cooperating for this, I would be looking at continuing my ante-up Losers/Pern crossover in a way that basically may involve rewriting Pernese history from midway thru the Harper Hall trilogy. >.> And involve things like turning Thella into an actual formidable criminal mastermind and addressing the fact that canon appears to have NO CLUE how much banditry is rife in a pre-modern-tech society that HAS to move goods over long, uninhabited stretches of terrain nor the measures (and death penalties, honestly) that are necessary to contain it. Um. So I have an idea for a multi-part post-movie thing which started out as an excuse to figure out what the hell any of the Losers would do if they were back in civilian life - I figure start the weirdest private security/consultation company in the world - and then turned into an excuse to teach Cougar to cook, and introduce his family. It would eventually turn into Cougar/Jensen, because I am a sap like that, but I kind of want to explore that in the context of Cougar's obvious Catholicism. (Even though I'm like the world's worst ex-Catholic.)

But I am TERRIBLE at writing to deadlines!

So basically, I would love for someone(s) to bother me, remind me that I should be writing (and not staring at Tumblr), and tell me when I am descending into a morass of ridiculous feelings - though I welcome pretty much any sort of interaction. If you're good at cooking Mexican food, for example, it'd be super fun to collaborate and come up for recipes for any food mentioned in the fic. Otherwise, I'm just going to be reading my Diana Kennedy cookbooks cover to cover and trying to pin down traditional recipes for various regions.

I suck balls at time management, and, actually, my time is kind of ridiculous, and I end up doing ridiculous shit, like playing the Sims and trying to see if I can make someone be the best fisherman in town rather than, y'know, writing.

So I need someone to beat me over the head, to shout at me, and to tell me that what I'm doing is good, but I gotta fucking finish it.

Two things: Graphics Complements of a sort and fic idea

I want to do a graphic storyboard for Tygermama's "Signal Boost". When I read about the opt-in I thought about that fic and I hope it helps with getting more from that verse.

The second is an odd, odd couple of ideas. I cross The Loser with either Babylon 5 or Dark Angel.

I'm thinking for the B5 one they are the human crew of one of the White Stars and Max is one of the Agents of the Shadows or one of those behind PsiCorp to use those with talent for their own agenda. Maybe have this take place post-series and during the Telepath war.

I'm thinking for Dark Angel they're a team of X-5's that had worked in the field doing Max's(bad guy Max)dirty work via Manticore until Max (X-454) freed all the transgenics and burned down Manticore. They're in Bolivia when word comes down about Manticore and have to figure out new orders. Since they are on their own they follow any and all trails to Seattle and Terminal City.

HI NONE OF YOU KNOWS WHO I AM BECAUSE I DON'T USE DW REALLY.

I am katieupsidedown on LJ and arielchan on AO3 but I have only written one Losers fic before.

ANYWAY, I have already started this fic but have postponed writing it until after finals. Basically it's a somewhat-AU where Jensen coaches the Marigolds (because otherwise he would never put pants on or leave the house) and Cougar shows up to tryouts/games with a little girl but never with a woman and Jensen is conflicted and thinks Cougar is a Hot Straight Soccer Dad but still wants to bang him like a fangirl bangs a keyboard.

Pretty much all the Losers will make at least a courtesy cameo and Pooch drives a schoolbus sometimes, but sometimes drives a monster truck.

Fic Bang: Losers/BTVS Fusion

Have a basic fic idea for a fusion with Buffy with the character analogs (more or less) as follows and heavily filtered through a Losers lens:

Jensen=Buffy
Cougar=Angel/Spike
Clay=Giles
Roque=Ethan
Pooch=Xander
Jolene=Willow
Aisha=Cordelia
Max=Master
Wade=Minion
Jensen's sister=Mom
Jensen's niece=Dawn

Cougar/Jensen; Clay/Roque; Pooch/Jolene; Max/Wade pairings though whether the story turns explicit or not with any of them, I have no idea at the moment. Probably a college era story instead of high school (no underage sex or pining) and possibly bringing in elements of The Initiative from the Riley season and/or bits of Angel into Buffy, but it will start with Jensen coming to Sunnydale with his sister and niece after earlier trouble back east. Aisha may or not stay as a Cordelia analog other than the initial snobbery and possibly the visions, probably working for the Initiative or more neutral than part of either side as keeping with her character in the Losers; ie: her own agenda.

It's been years since I've seen either show and I'll likely not review much while I write, instead just fashioning something out of what I fondly remember even if I'm not remembering stuff correctly. Cougar will have Angel's initial curse and brooding, but possibly something more like Buffy and Spike's relationship (always consensual once they figure it out), and not likely having Cougar lose his soul if he has his moment of happiness. What can I say, I like happy-ish endings.

At this point, I'd just be happy if anyone is willing to work with me, with the caveat that shit could happen and it doesn't get finished as there are some things in RL right now that could mean trouble for my ability to write. Also, my August is f*ed as far as my business, with most of my time spend traveling. The good news is that will leave me lots of writing time on the road assuming I will still be able to body-wise, but it will also mean very limited internet accessibility; once a day in the evenings is likely for over 2/3 of the month so I might not be the best at teamwork when it's most needed.

Hello! I am new, both to the fandom and this community, but I figured I'd start big. :D

I'm actually looking to write an AU/fusion where Cougar is secretly Hatter from Wonderland. Not sure yet if this is a bang-length idea, but I can certainly hit 2500 words of it.

I can't draw or photoshop to save my life, but I have other skills! If this ends up becoming a team thing, would love to contribute some "fan-craft" complements. Stuff I've done for fandom before: bleached t-shirts and jewelry. Stuff that I can do but haven't used for fandom yet: sewing (clothes and other stuff), baked goods.

Based on ideas that people have so far, I'd like to do some team patches or talismans, maybe. I'm definitely open to suggestions/requests.

This idea is utterly awesome. I just rewatched Alice in Wonderland with my grandson this morning. I can so see Cougar being Hatter leaving Underland looking for his Alice only to find it's been well beyond her lifetime. Maybe we can have Jensen be a descendant of hers that he comes across and is so like his Alice slaying the Jabberwocky he stays to watch over him.

I'd so be here to cheerlead, bounce ideas off of and encourage.

Fic Complement to vids, art, as remix of other fic etc. HAIKU complements

So I'm feeling intimidated by all the awesome going on here, but I'm commenting Right Now to throw my hat into the ring and before I lose my nerve.

I'd love to write a fic (2,500 min) to complement someone's art or vid, or to remix someone's fic. If you want to see my style I'm maharetr on LJ/DW (check under my fic tag) or on the AO3. I'm partial to Jensen/Cougar, but I'd be willing to have a crack at pretty much any other pairing (including canon), or gen. I'm happy doing anything from dark to fluff, and anything from UST to heavy kink.

Also, scrolling back up I just saw that haiku was an example offering, and damn that'd be hilarious and delightful, and I'd love to write a series of haiku for someone.

Poetry big bang (Haiku big bang): Cougar/Jensen DADT

Okay, I'm very late to the party, and with a 'oh god what am I doing?" idea but!

Now that I've checked the specifications, and translated the Big poetry big_bang "40 lines of poetry" into "40 haikus" I'm like... that'd be four characters, 10 haikus each, that's kinda like two vignettes each, I barely need a plot for that...

And now I'm gently, gently turning over in my mind a Jensen/Cougar and not-asking-not-telling and what that does to your relationship, being utterly unable to *talk* about it openly, and the others being fiercely protective of them, even though they don't need it and ANGST of course...and... I think I have a bunny.

I don't know how the hell one complements 40 fucking haikus, (podfic? It'd be a quick read! Art? Picspam to offer visual narrative?)

Team wise I've... never collaborated on something before, actually. I will almost certainly need firm pokes and "I shall be checking in with you on a regular basis, so you better have work for me!" to keep me on track. That said, I can arrange bullying-for-own-good outside fandom, if need be.

I'm pretty good at offering moral support/hassling for other people too, once I know what your preferred style is :D I can totally, totally do the 'omg you opened Photoshop! GO YOU!" kind of hand holding, or leave you alone for weeks.

Is there anything I've missed?

I am trying to make my brain figure out a way to do some graphics for this that incorporate your haikus with some visuals (possibly in a comics style with panels). Still trying to think this through, but I'm definitely interested in teaming up somehow to make this work! :D

This... seemed like the place to ask this: I need a beta. I've been bouncing things off friends mostly but they're not always reliable and I feel like they could be tougher.

Grammar and spelling are not normally issues for me (though I occasionally get mixed up and do a tense jump) so I really just need someone to tell me if the structure of the story works, stuff like "You're too exposition-heavy here, you need to move this around" or "You mentioned this and it's funny - could you expand on it more?" or just "This scene doesn't work. What are you trying to do?"

I really need someone to look over my fic for here when it's done (Cougar/Jensen, probably no more scandalous than a light R rating, pretty much fluffy romcom with a little action) but ideally I could find someone who is also familiar with the Marvel movieverse and maybe DC comicsverse to help me out on other stuff. My AO3 pseud is "arielchan" if you want to see what my mostly-unbetaed stuff looks like.

So I've been waffling for a bit, but I feel that I can say that I'm a good beta and can provide the concrit that you're looking for above, if you're open to it.

My memory isn't excellent, but I'm pretty sure I've watched every Marvel movie. As for DC, I'm familiar with Batwoman, Batwing, Jason Todd and some random things.

If there's a tight deadline (like you need 10,000 words beta'ed in a week), I'm probably not the best, because work and some other obligations have been kicking my ass, so my turnaround is slower than usual.

Fic Bang: The Losers movie + Alice (SyFy) fusion, need a beta/enabler

I've decided that I've got enough material for a bang-sized fic, but I'm far from the most efficient writer.

I'm looking for someone to test some ideas, who is familiar with the SyFy miniseries as well as the books (or at least willing to Wiki the books). I have a tendency to write a few thousand words, get stuck, and try a different approach for another few thousand. I'm hoping that testing the ideas out beforehand will help to curb this waste of words. Also, I have issues with transitions between events.

So far, I've got a pretty good idea of what the fusion-world will be like, but only the sketchiest plot that's pretty much the same as the movie.

I'm looking for opinions and ideas on plot more than encouragement. Anyone up for this?

OK I've been biting my nails about whether or not to sign up for any writing. I really don't want to leave anyone hanging. But then it occurred to me that if I can't manage the fic, I could opt for doing it in haiku(though I'll need a volunteer syllable counter because I can be terrible at this! No lie.) I've done a bit of fan-ku before, including two short stories, and the format allows me to tackle one verse at a time, which is excellent if I should run low on spoons. Here's some examples of my previous fan-kus. I think this is my favorite *g*

My idea is for a Losers/Push crossover. I've had a vague notion of the plot for some time now, and basically Cassie shows up at Jensen's door and chaos ensues. It's a team fic, but Roque isn't there, I know that will be a turn-off for some of you. The story will very likely be gen, and the powers from the movie Push will be part of the plot. (Ack I'm such a spoilerphobe, writing any kind of summary just makes my insides twist about. Sorry for the massive blob of vague.) They will however probably shoot some bad guys and whatnot.

Any complements at all would be beyond lovely, and if someone's up for beta/cheerleading that would be most appreciated.

OMG LOSERS/PUSH! All the crossovers are making me RIDICULOUSLY happy. :D :D :D

I will happily cheerlead and beta (god, I'm going to be super overloaded in August, so if we can work as we go, that'd help me out) and I could probably do some sort of remix/podfic as a complement, if that interests you. I'm going for a lot of podfic because I know I can get that out quickly, but if you do poetry, I'd love to do a complement-sized remix, if that's something that might interest you and I don't completely run out of time. I'm sure we can work something out as the summer wears on. PUSH! I love that movie a ridiculous amount, and I can't wait to see what you do with it! :D :D :D
