Okay, so turns out NewYorkReload's epic has been recorded by seussian, so I didn't want to re-record (it's a solid podfic, if you're looking for NINE HOURS of good podfic to listen to). So I decided to do storm_petrel's By daybreak we'll be gone, and I recorded it in two sessions this weekend. Now all I have left is to edit! \o/

Well, I started narrating, it was coming along pretty well until the hospital scene, when IRL, our oven's burner element decided to start throwing sparks and kept getting brighter when the oven was turned off, so I had to run out and turn off the breakers for it.
Erm.
Yes.
That's after a sink drain rusted out and exploded all over, flooding the bathroom floor this afternoon, while I was gone.
Outbreaks of real life just got SRS.

Things are safe, but I'm really glad family member was right there to see the sparks in time!
Well, looks like new stove is in order. Eeep--it had to involve the control panel too, it wouldn't stop pulling juice until we cut off the breakers.
However, I have delegated homework on getting a new one to less tense family members, and decided it was the wiser part of valor to distract myself from that stuff with podficcing. So I managed to do little short bits until I got through the whole Sniper story tonight. I think it's done, unless there's some messed-up bits I haven't caught.
Should I email the file to you?
Now it's exported as an mp3, the player is showing it as 1:43:24 long, though that seems weirdly longer than I was expecting. Almost 97,000 KB file size, if that's any help. I'm not sure if that makes it too big to email as one file.

If you can email it, go for it, I'll put it up and send you the code to embed. Otherwise I think you put it in a googledoc before and shared it, right? kisahawklin at gmail is me.

Also - I think I might record the podfic too - as a remix of yours. Joe just replied to my comment too, saying they wouldn't mind more than one, and I'm a huge fan of multiple interpretations of a work. If you'd rather I didn't, though, let me know - I don't want to step on any toes, either.

We have obtained chain store deep discount sale and bought it via internet without exhauuuusting the family in the process. And it may show up before June 1 here. Woooot!

I didn't end up getting any recording done last week. I'm hoping to try and get the first story down tomorrow.

I've been reading through the three fics a few times, and will probably need some pronunciation help with the last one (and now I have She Came In Through The Bathroom Window stuck in my head, so I may have to edit some of that into my recording, when I get there).
