Admin Post: Dear Creator Letters

Okay, folks, I have sent assignments. Please Contact a Mod if you have any questions or concerns or haven't received your assignment.

Please note: what's listed under "Description" may include a list of things that your recipient does NOT want.

If you've written a "Dear Creator" letter, please link it in the comments! Letters help not only your creator but other folks who take a peek and want to create something for the Ante Up Scramble!

I'll check in with folks again mid-February. Go forth, have fun, and create!

Hi everyone!

If you have written a "Dear Creator" letter, please link to it here! Remember there's always the Ante Up Scramble where you can write treats for those whose letters inspire you (or maybe receive treats of our own)!

Wow, that was an awesome sign-up - there are 22 of us! Great job on advertising everyone!

Matching was buggy, but unremarkable other than that. Remember that you're only matched on one character, one pairing, and one type of fanwork. Don't worry if your recipient has asked for some things you can't do - you only have to do the ones you signed up to do. If you want to create something you didn't sign up for, great! (I'm waiting on my macaroni castle!) But if you don't want to, no harm, no foul - you only have to create the work the two of you matched on.

Don't forget that gen is only noted in the categories (and if you only wanted Gen, or to create gen, then Pooch/Jolene was the pairing you had to choose). If you have questions about your recipient's requests, or you think something about your own sign-up might be incorrect and you want your creator to know, please contact a mod (please comment over there as comments are screened).

In the meantime, it's time to post links to your letters here (and consider this a gentle nudge to write them up, if you haven't)! There are a couple reasons for this. One, if you didn't have time to get your link in your sign-up, this will give your creator somewhere to look you up. Two, I know I trawl Dear Creator letters for Scramble ideas - I'm betting lots of other people do too. I love making treats, so I like to take a peek at what folks are looking for.

If you wanted shippy Aisha/Clay or Jolene/Pooch, those pairings were available for selection. You should have an email from the AO3 with your assignment.

Currently, I have no idea how much of your recipient's requests you can see, because I'm a mod, so I don't know if it shows me everything because I'm a mod, or if that's the way everyone sees their request. Someone let me know?

Also - since my guess is that you don't get to see everything, I encourage you to write a Dear Writer letter and put a link to it here, and don't forget to include your AO3 name, since not everyone's are the same. That way everyone can find what you were looking for.

If it turns out you can't see your recipient's requests, leave a comment here and I will send you everything in an email (I have your emails from the challenge, so you don't have to post those).
