I'm planning to start with acid dyeing milled wool, since that seems to be a little easier with regard to getting consistent results (and involve fewer hazardous chemicals), but I would like to try dyeing plant fibres at some point, possibly before the end of the Bang period.

I dunno about solid black but I am planning to play around with variations of black + other colours. For this though I was thinking of using the palette of the film (I recall someone somewhere referring to the Losers as "you teal and orange bastards" and the description stuck--it is a very teal and orange movie) or from particular scenes from it or the comics. I dunno if that would work for any of your planned compliments (maybe #3? I could do Petunias pink and sunny yellow for that) but I could probably send a skein to you and any other craft teammates.
